About

City University Lodge was founded in 1964 by a group of employees, staff and alumni of the Northampton College (now City, University of London) situated in Northampton Square in London.

The Lodge has a rich mixture of different professions, religions and backgrounds resulting in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is reflective of both City, University of London and Freemasonry.

The City University Lodge meets four times a year at Freemasons’ Hall in London. The meetings are on the 2nd Friday of the month in February, June and December and on the 3rd Friday of October.

City University Lodge practices “Cartwright Working”, which is used by only five other Lodges in the country and does so in its own unique way.

The Lodge is associated with the Universities Scheme and the University of London Royal Arch Chapter. It is also member of the Association of Medical, University and Legal Lodges (AMULL). City University Lodge is the Foundation Lodge of the MMC London Fire Brigade Appeal.
